The Editress of HRM is Renee Bernhard. Bernhard is a hugely successful authoress of historical romance novels with many of her books appearing on the USA Today best selling list. She is one of the biggest selling romance novelists of the present decade as well as one of the most prolific. In terms of just name recognition alone, she brings a good deal to HRM.
Renee Bernhard is also the founder of an annual event known as the Historical Romance Retreat (HRR). THe HRR is an event where both fans and writers of historical romance novels meet and engage in costume parties. The HRR's are held at fancy, expensive hotels. A similar event, also founded by Bernhard, The Romance Retreat, that is for all varieties of romantic fiction will launch later this year.
Renee Bernhard is also a former stand up comedian. She was also the hostess of the Canned Laughter and Coffee podcast that ran for five years on Blog Talk Radio.
