If you point your browser to Historical Romance Magazine (HRM) you will find the website for what is supposed to be new magazine devoted to historical romance. For fans of romantic fiction, this could not colme at a better time given the fact that in the past year Romantic Times/RT Book Reviews folded with the same going for their websites. HRM has the potetial of filling in the gap left by the demise of the RT publishing imperium. As for fans of historical fiction, this could eventually develop into a professional magazine that could be a specialized version of the already existing Historical Novels Review.
On the website's front page is a button taking you to a form that you can fill out to both subscribe to the newsletter and also to receive the first digital issue of the magazine free. At the bottom of the front page is another button taking you to a form for you to fill out if you are interested in becoming a book reviewer for HRM. On that form is another button that takes you to an information page giving you the writer's guidelines on how to write and submit book reviews for HRM.
Its pretty clear that the folks at HRM want the involvement of their prospective readers and writers in their magazine. They have placed an About page on their website informing the readers and writers alike of their vision for the magazine and what they hope to accomplish. For more about that, check out Part II.
