The Problem with Internet Forums
The way that all too many Internet forums/message boards are run are such that I no longer want anything to do with them. It was not always like that. In the past, these systems offered the opportunity for intelligent discussion of the issues. However, nowaday these systems are overrun by trolls. What's even worse, it seems that all too many of the folks who are supposed to police the trolls, aka the admins and the moderators, are trolls themselves. What they do is cop the attitude that they know everything about the subject matter at hand and if you dare disagree with them, then you are in trouble. Even worse, these people are often lazy to the point where if the system totally screws up, they will do but little about unless a lot of folks are adversely affected by it.
